The Human hunger

Have you wondered why you feel hungry?

Have you asked yourself why do I need to eat and buy food?

Why can I just live without hunger?

I came across this topic because of the financial crisis we are facing at the moment.I  eventually became a skeptic in a way that my faith is shaking.I repent and knowing that God allows hardship so that we can see His miracles working alongside in this way I know that I really need God and His mercy all the time. That does not end there, Here are some things we need to keep in mind.

As a human, we experience this so called feeling ” hunger”, and it drives us to search for food. On, either way, we feel the same hunger from things that we crave for perhaps on things that we desire or from the envious state of mind. When there is a hunger there is “the need to be filled and an instinct to think of and search for things that will satisfy our cravings.

As we grow and be immune with the way how the food chain up cycles whether life precedes lifetime after life. Death became predictable as of how the graves are famished for decayed flesh. And the hunger for knowledge is an epiphany of how the human revealed its inner desires.

Eve is a great example of how it all begin,

Genesis 3:6   When the woman saw that the tree produced fruit that was good for food, was attractive to the eye, and was desirable for making one wise, she took some of its fruit and ate it. She also gave some of it to her husband who was with her, and he ate it.

This shows the nature of being human and the hidden desires affects the whole humanity.

A disobedient and rebellious heart, flesh that hungers to be satisfied, the pride of life which is the predominance by gaining knowledge. You will ask if, when did it all start?

Is it Adam or Eves fault?

It began when GOD created human. The human was created alongside his hunger and its desire.God already knows the human needs so He created it first, He created the sun the moon to give light, the ground, trees and plants and animals for food.Genesis:1- 30

24 God said, “Let the land produce living creatures according to their kinds: cattle, creeping things, and wild animals, each according to its kind.” It was so.

29 Then God said, “I now give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the entire earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food.

But because of disobedience Sin was born.Where we can put our blame? Whether we like it or not we inherit the sin from Adam and Eve. We are sinful by nature.

We need God’s Grace through Jesus. God created hunger alongside us from the beginning not just to search for food and shelter good life and knowledge which is a temporary need.

But God created hunger and thirst so that he can fill us.He created it so that we hunger for his presence and to know Him deeply, God wants to be closer to us, and this is what He wanted, what He longed for ever since He created the heavens and the earth, He also wants to bring us to His wonderful way of living. Only the Creator knows its creations need, We are  not superior to our life, Hunger is a feeling within us and we need to be filled first spiritually .

  1. Although I agree that we have a great need to feel and experience Love and we were created with this hunger, God does not willingly allow hardship or anything else to hurt us.

Lamentations 3: 33 For God doth not afflict willingly nor grieve the Children of Men.

Psalm 9:8-10 And He shall judge the world in Righteousness, He shall minister judgment to the people in Uprightness. The LORD also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble. And they that know thy Name will put their Trust in Thee for thou, LORD hast not forsaken them that seek Thee.

We live in a fallen World which Satan control’s, accidents happen so does chance and others hurt us and so does our own Sin which includes greed and lust.

God does not want Puppets who are forced to seek Him but for us to willing search for Him and Love Him with all our heart and when we do we will be complete.

He also makes it clear He will be with us through whatever Satan or Life brings giving us His Strength to endure.

Isaiah 43:1-3 – Do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you. I have called you by name; you are mine. When you go through deep waters and great trouble, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown! When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you. For I am the LORD, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Saviour.”

    1. Thank you Anne 🙂

I love how you elucidate the concept with bible verses and make it more clear to me how God does not willingly allow hardship to hurt us , but there would be times that God do allow certain circumstances to test our faith for our own benefit too :
      Romans 5:3-4
      And not only this, but we also exult in our tribulations, knowing that tribulation brings about perseverance; and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope;

and God even allowed His only begotten Son to suffer and die on the cross so that through Him we will have an eternal life :John 3:16
      We benefit through the blood

.The main reason why I wrote about this short article is to express my the general idea of being human , although I lack somethings , I may not make it more extensive I wrote this from an inspiration and experience ,

Maybe some people out there is asking God or doubting the sovereignty because of some afflictions they are experiencing which is I conclude it is either ” Consequence ”
or testing of our faith .

      Isaiah 48:10
      Verse Concepts
“Behold, I have refined you, but not as silver; I have tested you in the furnace of affliction

And hunger and thirst is a part of being human , That God indeed created it so we may seek Him spiritualy

      : and to express ”
      Matthew 4:4
‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.'”

*****In this generation we are in clearly visualized the last days in the bible
      2 Timothy 3:2

2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

This is how satan will destroy the humanity , we have no power on our own but Thanks be to God that He who died on the cross (Jesus) The ultimate sacrifice conquered it all , We need to stand firm on our faith no matter what circumstances we live in .

Thank you Anne , Honestly I’m not a professional writer but this is the only way that i know I can declare that God is indeed Sovereign .

  2. As the Scriptures confirm Missfeatherhat when read in context God does not willingly allow those He knows as His own to suffer hardship to mold and conform us, He does this by giving us opportunities to walk in The Spirit but He does know we will suffer in life and so gives us His Strength to endure, others will reap the evil they sow but so do we until we come to our senses and repent but Wow what a Welcome Home as the Parable of the Prodigal son confirms.

Jesus told us that we would have trouble when we follow Him , we will be hated and persecuted even by some in our families and also others in the Church, some of us will even be Martyred but that we would be rewarded because of our Faithfulness and when we Persevere in our Faith we will become stronger, we were Created that way, the same when we continue to Sin we become weaker.

Many turn away from God because they believe He willingly allows them to suffer or causes it and this is because they are deceived by those who do not understand what is written in Scripture, who Trust in their own interpretation instead of asking for God’s Wisdom which none of us were Born with and it is the Principle thing in understanding His Truth by His empowering through The Holy Spirit as we seek Jesus our only Spiritual Teacher to lead us into all Truth.

The furnace of affliction is for those who continue to Sin, God does not intervene to stop it because their Sin separates them from Him and so He sees them from afar and they reap the evil they sow but if they belong to Him they will come to Heart repentance like the Prodigal son did if not they will continue until in death they are Eternally separated from Him in torment, their choice not Gods .

When we suffer Hardship as God’s Children, He tells us in (Isaiah 43:1-3) that when we walk through the fire of oppression, we will not be burned up the flames will not consume us… How good is this!

The Scriptures tell us also to say that even Believers do evil to bring good out of it is Slander and willingly allowing it is the same, in our Law it means you are an accomplice. Romans3:8

As we read the Scriptures we see God sent Prophets to warn the People but they did not listen they killed them instead and as we know this is the same as they did to Jesus but He could have saved Himself if He wanted to.

But the Truth is Missfeatherhat we are all the worst of Sinners, you and I put Jesus on the Cross, it is our Sin that caused His suffering but it was His choice to be obedient to His Father, He chose to die for us which was the only way left for us to be Redeemed. Jesus knew His Father would be heartbroken to be Separated from us Eternally and so because He Loved both Him and us so very much, He willingly Suffered and died even knowing our Sin would separate Him from God and that He would feel forsaken and yet in His suffering He still prayed for our forgiveness. ❤

If God was to end all evil now as He did in the World Flood, He would have to end the World and some He knows as His own would Perish and so He is Patient but is no doubt very grieved to see the evil in our World and yes sadly in Churches too.

It is Deception when it is said that everything Good and Evil comes from God or that He willingly allows it but perhaps to help you understand why it is please read about my Childhood on the Link below…….

    Blessings – Anne.
